The Banana Pepper is a classic variety! The prolific plants produce thin, 6 inch, tapered peppers that change from yellow to orange and then eventually to red when fully ripe. This is a sweet pepper cultivar, but some have just the slightest amount of heat measuring at under 500 Scoville units. Even though they are primarily used as a pickling pepper they are fantastic stuffed, cooked, or fresh!
