Description
(65 Days) (Cucumis melo)
Armenian Cucumber is a rare and unique heirloom variety that produces long, light colored, ribbed fruit that are crisp, sweet and have very few seeds. They are so tender that you don’t even need to peel them. Just slice them and add them to your salad! This is a fun one to grow!
Armenian cucumber seeds germinate in 5 to 14 days. They require warm soil between 70°F and 85°F and a planting depth of 1/2 to 1 inch. They are sensitive to cold and thrive best when planted in late spring. Direct Sowing: Wait until all danger of frost has passed and your garden soil reaches at least 65°F. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep, spaced 12 to 18 inches apart. Starting Indoors: Sow seeds in biodegradable pots (like peat pots) 3 to 4 weeks before your last spring frost. Use a seed-starting mat to keep the soil warm. Harden off the seedlings before moving them outside carefully to avoid disturbing their roots
