Red Kuri (aka Hakkaido) is a unique and delicious winter squash! This heirloom variety originated in Japan and has been documented since at least the 1930’s, though its lineage is probably a lot older. Extremely prolific vines produce tons of 3-8 pound, smooth, golden-red tear drop shaped squash. They have a rich, sweet, and nutty flavor profile making them perfect for cooking soups, stews, desserts, and almost anything else you can think of!
