Numex Sandia is wonderful all purpose pepper variety that was developed at the University Of New Mexico in 1956, by Dr. Ray Harper! These plants are super prolific, pest resistant, and heat tolerant producing tons of medium-sized peppers. They have similar smokey flavor to Anaheim peppers but with more heat, ranging from 5,000-10,000 Scoville Heat Units making them great for roasting, canning, pickling, or adding to almost any dish. Numex Sandia Peppers are versatile and resilient making them a fantastic multi-purpose pepper!
