The Fish Pepper is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful pepper varieties! These vigorous plants have green and white variegated leaves and produce striped peppers that change colors from green and white, to orange, and finally to red! This is a mildly hot pepper that can range from 1,000 Scoville units when it it immature to 40,000 Scoville units when mature. It has a sweet and fruity flavor making it perfect for a variety of culinary uses!
****Hot peppers can be tricky to germinate and grow at home even under ideal conditions. Germination usually takes 1-3 weeks, but can take as long as a month. Maintaining high soil temperatures is extremely important and we strongly recommend using a heating mat. The federal germination standard for peppers is 55%, though all of our varieties are well above that. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us. We are always happy to help!
