Description
(Indeterminate/72 days)
Bonnie Best (aka John Baer) was the result of years of selective breeding and was introduced in 1908 by George W. Middleton. This variety is highly productive, early maturing, and has great disease resistance. Vigorous plants produce bright red, slightly flattened, uniform, globe-shaped fruit that are average about 8 ounces each, making them fantastic for canning as well as slicing. Don’t let the ordinary appearance fool you, this is a tasty and dependable cultivar!

Planting Instructions – Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Do not Plant out until 2 weeks after last frost. Tomato seeds require high soil temperatures for good germination rates. We highly recommend heat mats to ensure and speed up germination. Pot up to 3–4 inch pots when first true leaves develop (not cotyledon leaves). Harden off plants for 1-2 weeks in full sun before transplanting them outside (after last frost). Make sure to give tomato plants a lot of space for vigorous root and foliage growth.
