I don’t usually take the time to write a review. I normally just leave stars, but these seeds have been so amazing that I felt I needed to take the time to say it. Also, I will be cutting and pasting this review to each variety I ordered.
I live in Northern Virigina (growing zone 7a now becoming 7b) and I wanted to try varieties I hadn’t planted before, so I ordered Hungarian Heart, Black Pineapple/ Ananas Noire, Abe Lincoln, German Johnson, Black Krim, Big Rainbow, Black Zebra, Crovarese, Flaming Burst, Sweet Chelsea, Yellow Pear, Zapotec Pink, and Black Brandywine (Weavers Variety).
The germination rate was amazing…nearly 100 percent of the seeds popped – I started them outside in the first week of April in cups so as to naturally harden them before putting them in the ground. Because the germination rate was so incredible, I found that I over-ordered seeds and have put the ones I didn’t use in the fridge for next year.
The results have been nothing short of miraculous!!! We are just coming out of a heat wave and now that the cooler temps are settling in, Tomatopocalypse has begun.
Note – we use only organic worm castings and fermented fish & kelp fertilizer. The larger varieties are averaging nearly a pound per tomato.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these seeds…and the taste of the tomatoes is absolutely amazing!
